- What is Clearway?
- Clearway is a software-first UK immigration service. You tell us what you are trying to do, we organise your situation against the current published rules, show you the routes and requirements that appear relevant, and prepare the case. Where individual professional judgement is needed, an authorised Clearway professional provides it.
- Is Clearway regulated?
- Not yet. Clearway is preparing to be authorised by the Immigration Advice Authority at Level 1 Immigration. Until that authorisation is granted, the regulated service is not available to the public, nothing on this site is immigration advice, and the paid case review cannot be bought.
- Who provides the immigration advice?
- An authorised Clearway professional will, once Clearway is authorised. Software does the structured, repeatable work: gathering facts, applying published rules and preparing the case. It does not give advice, and no AI model on this site is an immigration adviser.
- What is the difference between the free check and regulated advice?
- The free check is generated by Clearway's software from published rules. It shows the routes that may be relevant, a preliminary requirements snapshot and what still needs evidence. Regulated advice is a person applying professional judgement to your circumstances: assessing your eligibility, interpreting the rules for your case, reviewing your evidence and telling you what to do next.
- Is the preliminary assessment legal advice?
- No. It is a comparison of the facts you gave us against published requirements, with anything uncertain marked as needing evidence or professional review. It is not tailored professional judgement and should not be relied on as advice.
- What happens if my case is complex?
- We tell you. Clearway's intended first authorisation is Level 1 Immigration, which covers straightforward matters. If your situation involves things like overstaying, a previous refusal, removal, an asylum or protection claim, an appeal or a judicial review, your situation may require a higher level or different type of regulated immigration advice, and we would refer you rather than take it on.
- What is IAA Level 1?
- The Immigration Advice Authority regulates immigration advisers in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It authorises advisers at levels, and Level 1 covers straightforward advice and applications. Higher levels cover more complex casework, appeals and representation.
- Who is Hamza?
- Hamza Rehman is Clearway's cofounder and CEO. He is a Pakistani-qualified lawyer with an LLM in Technology and Innovation, based in Glasgow, and is preparing for IAA Level 1 authorisation. He is not currently authorised to give UK immigration advice.
- How current is Clearway's immigration information?
- Every route shows its official GOV.UK source and the date the content was last checked. Rules, thresholds and fees change often, so the linked GOV.UK page is always the authoritative version. Proposed changes that are not yet law are labelled as proposals and never affect the requirements we show you.
- Does Clearway use AI?
- We use software to structure your answers and apply published rules through deterministic logic. We do not present a language model as an immigration adviser, and regulated conclusions will come from an authorised professional, not from a model.
- Does Clearway guarantee an application will succeed?
- No, and nobody honestly can. Decisions are made by the Home Office. Anyone promising a guaranteed approval is a warning sign rather than a selling point.
- What does the £199 Regulated Case Review include?
- Your case read and assessed before you speak to anyone, a personalised professional assessment of your eligibility and options, a 45-minute consultation with your questions answered, discussion of any requirement or evidence problems, and a written summary of your next steps. It is a future service: it cannot be bought while Clearway is preparing for authorisation.
- How much does application support cost?
- Application support will be priced transparently according to the published Clearway fee scale, as a fixed fee by immigration route rather than an hourly rate. Route prices will be published before the service goes live.
- What happens if I need Level 2 or Level 3 advice?
- We say so and point you to appropriately authorised help rather than working outside our scope. You can also find regulated advisers at any level through the Immigration Advice Authority's public register.
- What happens to my data?
- The free check runs in your browser and nothing is stored about you unless you submit an enquiry. If you do, we hold it in the UK or EEA on the basis of your consent, use it only for your enquiry, and never sell it. Full detail is in our privacy notice.
